Looking for more than just another dental assisting position?
Oral surgery isn't for everyone.
It requires focus.
Precision.
Teamwork.
The ability to stay calm under pressure.
But if you're the kind of person who thrives in that environment, we'd love to meet you.
At Dental Solutions of Binghamton, we believe exceptional surgical assistants are developed—not simply hired. We invest in our people because every successful procedure depends on preparation, communication, and trust.
Whether you have years of oral surgery experience or have built a strong foundation as a dental assistant and are ready for your next challenge, we are looking for people with character, professionalism, and a genuine desire to grow.
Why You'll Love Being Part of Our Team
- No weekends or major holidays
- Supportive, team-first culture with strong clinical leadership
- Work alongside experienced specialists in a progressive surgical practice
- Exposure to advanced technology, digital workflows, and IV sedation
- Opportunity to cross-train with our prosthodontic team and gain a deeper understanding of complex implant rehabilitation
- Leadership that genuinely invests in your development
What Makes Our Practice Different
This is not a typical oral surgery assisting position.
You'll work alongside specialists performing advanced implant surgery, bone grafting, full-arch rehabilitation, and IV sedation using modern technology including CBCT imaging, digital treatment planning, and robotic-assisted implant surgery.
Unlike most oral surgery practices, you'll have the opportunity to understand the complete implant journey—from surgical planning and implant placement through final restoration. Cross-training with our prosthodontic team provides a broader clinical perspective and opportunities to continue expanding your skills.
More importantly, you'll be surrounded by people who enjoy teaching, learning, and helping one another succeed.
You'll Succeed Here By
- Assisting the oral surgeon during advanced surgical procedures
- Preparing and maintaining a sterile surgical environment
- Supporting patients before, during, and after treatment with confidence and compassion
- Assisting with IV sedation workflows and patient monitoring (training provided as needed)
- Taking high-quality digital imaging and CBCT scans
- Maintaining efficient operatory turnover and instrument sterilization
- Helping create a calm, organized, and positive experience for every patient
Is This You?
You are someone who:
- Enjoys technical, hands-on work
- Takes pride in precision and attention to detail
- Stays calm and focused under pressure
- Anticipates what's needed before being asked
- Enjoys learning and welcomes coaching
- Works well as part of a high-performing team
- Genuinely cares about patient comfort and outcomes
Oral surgery experience is preferred, but not required. If you have a strong dental assisting foundation and are excited to learn advanced surgical techniques, IV sedation, and implant workflows, we'd love to hear from you.
