The Opportunity
We're hiring a Leasing Agent to own the leasing process from first inquiry to tenant move-in. If you're organized, personable, and motivated by hitting goals, this is a role where your work directly drives results you can see.
No real estate license? No problem. A Virginia real estate license is required for this role, but you do not need one to apply. If you are the right fit, we will sponsor your license and cover all costs to help you obtain it.
What You'll Do
- Create and maintain high-quality property listings with accurate details, photos, and pricing across our listing software, MLS, and other platforms
- Respond promptly and professionally to leasing inquiries, addressing new leads as they come in
- Guide prospective tenants through the full leasing process, including self-showings, applications, and required documentation
- Track leads and follow-ups, conduct post-showing follow-ups, and assess tenant interest to inform leasing strategy
- Notify approved applicants, coordinate deposit collection, and manage lease execution
- Coordinate a smooth move-in experience, from lease signing to key delivery, portal setup, and welcome calls
- Collect and verify move-in documentation, including renters insurance, utility transfers, and HOA registration
- Keep owners updated with weekly communication on vacant properties and marketing plans
- Monitor showing feedback and market conditions to recommend pricing or listing adjustments
- Track and meet individual and departmental leasing goals
What We're Looking For
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service, sales, or leasing experience (real estate industry experience a plus)
- A Virginia real estate license, or the willingness to obtain one with our full sponsorship and support
- Working knowledge of fair housing regulations
