Line Cook– Carla Cafe
Carla Cafe has proudly served our community since May 2020. With our flagship location already successfully open on West 3rd, we continue to expand to new spaces built on quality, care, and genuine hospitality.
We’re hiring a line cook / prep to join our close-knit team being built in Century City. This position is essential to producing high quality food consistently to keep the rest of the service running smoothly. This line cook should be comfortable working a hot line and have high familiarity with understanding adjusting recipes for allergens.
Line Cook / Line Cook Responsibilities
- Prep, inventory, and restock for service
- Learn and memorize recipes to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Understand recipes allergens and what can/cannot be made to order to keep up a high volume of production
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (FIFO, temperature control, cross-contamination prevention)
- Properly label, store, and rotate food products
- Maintain and properly use kitchen equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation throughout shift
What we’re looking for
- A positive, respectful, and proactive attitude.
- Ability to stay organized and efficient during busy shifts.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
- Able to work under pressure
- Sorting between Line Cook/Prep will be based on interview and schedule
Compensation
Hourly wages plus occasional tips.
