The Production Worker performs hands-on packaging, filling, and finishing tasks on the production floor at Adept Life Sciences. This role supports the safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing of nutraceutical products by operating packaging lines, inspecting product and components, and preparing finished goods for shipment in accordance with cGMP standards and client requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Packaging & Pack-Off
- Perform pack-off duties: inspect finished bottles and place them into master cases.
- Inspect droppers, caps, labels, and other packaging components for defects and correct application.
- Fill bottles and assemble finished units to specification.
- Pack, case, and palletize finished goods in accordance with shipping and client requirements.
Line Operation & Material Handling
- Load and monitor packaging lines, ensuring correct fill levels, cap torque, and seal integrity.
- Refill components into hoppers to keep lines running continuously.
- Perform in-process quality checks and remove any non-conforming product.
- Label, date, and stage completed master cases and pallets for shipment.
Compliance, Safety & Housekeeping
- Follow cGMP, SOPs, and batch record instructions accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work area.
- Adhere to all safety, GMP, and PPE requirements at all times.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Quality & Output
· Meet or exceed daily production and packaging targets.
· Maintain accurate pack-off counts with zero mislabeled or miscased product.
· Zero preventable line stoppages caused by hopper run-outs or component shortages.
Reliability
· Consistent, dependable attendance and punctuality.
· 100% adherence to GMP and safety requirements with zero recordable incidents.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle cases and pallets safely.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot defects and inconsistencies.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Basic math and counting skills for pack-off and case counts.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work at a steady pace in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with a positive, cooperative attitude.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (NOT REQUIRED)
- Prior experience in nutraceutical, food, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing.
- Familiarity with packaging line equipment and cGMP environments.
- Experience with pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
