Schedule
This position follows a split-shift schedule during the school year:
- Morning Route: Approximately 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
- Afternoon Route: Approximately 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
- Monday through Friday
Candidates must be available for both the morning and afternoon shifts.
Additional hours may be available for:
- Early school dismissals
- Preschool field trips
- Summer programs
- Special events
- Additional transportation needs
What You'll Do
- Safely transport participants to and from schools, programs, and Park District facilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness
- Monitor participant safety during transportation
- Communicate professionally with participants, parents, school staff, and Park District employees
- Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or incidents promptly
- Represent the Hanover Park Park District in a positive and professional manner
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid Illinois Driver's License (Class D)
- Safe driving record
- Ability to pass background screening and meet insurability requirements
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to safety
- Experience working with children or transporting passengers is helpful, but not required
