We are an older couple living on a small farm on the Animas River just minutes from Durango. We are looking for a property caretaker(s) to live on the farm in a beautiful private apartment with meadow and River views or if you have your own RV, we have a private RV pad with great river views.Seasonal employment is also an option if you are a snowbird. There is a heated greenhouse and gardening plots if the successful applicant wants to grow some of their food, or even have a productive crop. We have plenty of water for irrigation. We need assistance with the grounds and seasonal irrigation of our fields. There are other ways the successful applicants can help on the farm, from office,housekeeping, woodworking, maintenance, etc.
This position would be ideal for a semi retired couple or individual looking for a beautiful place to live in trade and a salary based on skills and hours worked. The ideal candidate(s) will be nonsmoker(s), enjoy living in the country and not be big partiers. They can be employed elsewhere, if they have time for 10 to 15 hrs of work on the farm.
