Essential Job Functions
- Work with Director to ensure staff is scheduled to minimize overtime.
- In conjunction with Director, will supervise Residential Supervisors and staff.
- Direct the daily routine of the department.
- Complete resident IHPs, and scheduled resident assessments in accordance with regulations; including quarterly IHPs.
- See that personal and supportive care is provided for each child commensurate with his/her needs and as specific in the IHP.
- Be responsible to see that all staff maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation on the residents’ progress towards IHP goals, and shall re-evaluate residents’ program, materials, and schedules on an ongoing basis and communicate needs to the Director.
- Maintains timely record of call-offs, and lines up replacement staff for call offs scheduling needed replacements through phone calls, text messaging and scheduling software.
- Manages schedule distribution taking in consideration PTO requests, holidays, FMLA and personal leave as well as open positions to ensure efficient staff coverage is maintained for holes in scheduled, including on the weekend/holiday.
Other Job Functions
- May need to perform supervisor or DCP duties when necessary to support department.
- Report all unusual incidents to appropriate personnel immediately.
- Assists with follow up for incidents and investigations.
- Participate in regular meetings along with Director to promote effective communication of all pertinent information to DCP’s and Supervisors.
- Attend meetings related to programming, safety, incident management and employee issues as needed.
- Assists in the hiring process of direct care personnel when necessary.
- Complete written evaluations for DCPs on an annual basis.
- Member of Interdisciplinary, Incident Review, IHP’s, and Admissions teams.
- Treat all clients’ records and communications with confidentiality and respect.
- Ensure SEHC programs meet regulatory standards and are in compliance with 6600 regulations.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Medication Administration
Practicum Observer:
- Successfully complete and pass the DPW Medication Administration Practicum Observer course, practice activities, examination and initial observations.
- Maintain DPW Practicum Observer certification by completing all requirements on an annual basis within the designated time period.
- Oversee, monitor and supervise the administration and documentation of medication by certified DPW Medication Administration employees.
- Follow process and procedures to identify and report medication errors and concerns.
Med Certified Staff:
- Successfully complete and pass the DPW Medication Administration course, practice activities, examination and initial observations.
- Maintain DPW Medication Administration certification by completing all requirements on a semi-annual and annual basis within the designated time period.
- Correctly and safely administer medications in the program area.
- Adhere to procedures of documenting medication administration in the program area.
- Follow processes and procedures to identify and report medication errors.

Requirements & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required

Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Residential services experience required with at least 2 years as residential supervisor.

Ability to nurture, build and maintain professional working relationships with all team members, for the purpose of enhancing cooperation between all disciplines of the entire team.
- Detail oriented and good organizational skills are essential.

Demonstrated verbal and written competency.

Good listening and interpersonal skills are essential.

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Knowledge and/or experience in annual state licensing preparation.

OnShift, or other employee scheduling software experience preferred.
Primary Purpose of Job
Assists Residential Director to provide overall oversight for residential programming to ensure quality services are being provided for the residents and ensures active treatment programming services are being implemented daily.
