POSITION SUMMARY
ASSEMBLER: Assemble and fabricate custom industrial products according to engineering specifications and customer requirements. This position works in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment where attention to detail and quality are essential.
1st shift - 6:00a.m. - 2:30p.m.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- Assemble components and parts from stock to complete required job orders.
- Fabricate custom products from pre-manufactured Urethane and PVC fabric materials and parts to engineered specifications per job orders.
- Utilize material slitters, RF (Radio Frequency) and heat seaming equipment and other specialized equipment, procedure manuals, and general fabrication job orders.
- Perform a variety of hand assembly and/or machine operations associated with the manufacturing of custom hose assemblies.
- Utilize coupling machines and other specialized equipment, procedure manuals and general assembly job orders.
- Assemble mechanical assemblies using hand tools, electrical and pneumatic power tools per specified procedures and assembly job orders.
- Adhere to all safety regulations including wearing of proper safety equipment.
- Complete all necessary job paperwork and quality control documentation.
- Assist in counting physical inventory.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
PRIMARY COMPETENCIES
- Read and interpret technical documents, such as blueprints and assembly manuals.
- Ability to learn and safely operate forklifts, turntables, and other equipment used in the assembly process and for the movement of materials, finished products, and packaged shipments throughout the facility and during loading and unloading of trucks.
- Good mechanical aptitude, basic reading, and math skills.
- Perform work accurately and thoroughly while ensuring product quality.

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES
- Read and use measuring tools. (i.e tape measure, diameter tape measure, calipers, and others)

- Ability to identify and troubleshoot minor issues during the assembly process.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
- Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate production equipment and material handling equipment.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED required
EXPERIENCE:
- One to two years relevant experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
