Responsibilities
The Radiologic Technologist (X-ray Tech) is responsible for all departmental functions aligned with the mission, vision, and goals of Pediatric Health Care Associates. The Radiologic Technologist role is an opportunity for an x-ray tech to apply their skills in a pediatric setting and assist with primary patient care based on individual patient needs within their scope of practice under the physician’s direct supervision. Additional responsibilities will be assisting in the collection and the testing of various laboratory samples.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety
- Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by physicians and nurse practitioners.
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Maintain and document daily quality control of radiology equipment at the start of shift
- Helps patients in distress by promptly notifying medical staff of emergencies
- Keep x-ray room stocked with adequate supplies
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures
- Collection and testing of various laboratory samples including nasal swabs, throat swabs, blood and urine.
- This position includes processing and running Point of Care laboratory testing
Qualifications
- Graduated from Radiologic Technologist program and holds valid license
- Knowledge of medical practice and terminology, processes, and procedures
- Ability to use sound reasoning and judgment and act calmly in emergencies
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and nonverbally
- Knowledge of digital imaging
- Knowledge of electronic health records (Epic preferred)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Per diem
Pay: $38.00 - $41.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
