Known for our "casual chic" aesthetic, we curate high-quality collections from sought-after brands including Varley, Z Supply, and Nation. We are currently seeking a professional and fashion-forward Retail Sales Associate to join our team for the Spring 2026 season.
Position Summary
The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a high-end, personalized shopping experience. The ideal candidate will act as a brand ambassador, providing expert styling advice while maintaining the visual standards of the boutique. We are looking for a candidate who is detail-oriented, reliable, and possesses a genuine passion for the contemporary fashion industry.
Core Responsibilities
- Sales & Clienteling: Proactively engage with customers to provide personalized styling recommendations and build long-term client relationships.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of current trends, seasonal collections, and the specific brands carried at Whim.
- Visual Merchandising: Ensure the sales floor is meticulously organized. Responsibilities include steaming garments, restocking inventory, and assisting with floor sets.
- Daily Operations: Execute point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, process new inventory, and assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Brand Representation: Uphold the aesthetic and professional standards of Whim Boutique at all times.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1–2 years of retail or customer service experience preferred (high-end or boutique retail is a plus).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal communication skills and a natural ability to connect with a diverse clientele.
- Professionalism: A strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Availability: Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including weekends and select holidays.
