Washington Episcopal School in Bethesda, Maryland, is accepting applications for personnel with experience with children in a camp counselor, substitute teacher or day care role to help in the Extended Day Program beginning in August 2026.
Successful candidates must have competed high school or received a GED diploma, and, preferably, some college. Priority will be given to those who have experience with students in Grade 2 to Grade 8.
The Extended Day program serves students in Pre-Kindergarten 3 through Grade 8 from 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. every day except Friday when the Extended Day hours are either 11:30 - 6:00 or 2:30 – 6:00 p.m, depending on the half days scheduled for school professional development.
The mission of the program is to provide a safe environment in which students in Nursery through Grade 8 spend time outside on the playground, enjoy snacks and activities, and work on school assignments.
