Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health and patient care, with a focus on supporting individuals with diverse needs. This role requires a blend of technical skills and interpersonal abilities, making it essential for the Technician to be adaptable and empathetic while providing high-quality care.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and develop appropriate care plans.
- Provide support and care for individuals with PTSD, mental health challenges, and disabilities.
- Implement therapeutic activities, including music therapy, to enhance patient well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients in various settings such as nursing homes and pediatrics.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Assist in equine therapy sessions when applicable, promoting physical and emotional healing through interaction with horses.
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with team members regarding any changes in condition or behavior.
Requirements
- Experience or training in mental health counseling or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with individuals who have disabilities is highly desirable.
- Skills in patient assessment and the ability to create tailored care plans are essential.
- Knowledge of music therapy techniques is a plus.
- Previous experience in home community care or nursing home settings is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards.
- Certified TRT
