Johnson Service Group has an immediate need in Bangor, ME for a Driver Helper. This is scheduled to be a 2+ Month temporary assignment 40 + hours a week. This position requires regular lifting of 40 lbs.
Job Description:
Reporting to the Distribution Manager, the Helper is responsible for assisting drivers in all tasks related to the safe and efficient delivery of ice and related products to the customer.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for assisting the Driver in the safe, on-time delivery and sales of ice and related products including the merchandising of individual bags and full pallets.
- Accountable for applying safe work practices in all deliveries and operational practices.
- Delivers exceptional customer service to all Arctic Glacier's customers.
- Reviews paperwork daily for neatness and accuracy.
- Ensures cleanliness of delivery vehicle (interior and exterior).

Candidate Qualifications:
- High School Diploma Required .
- 1 years' experience working in a distribution environment considered an asset.
- 1 years' experience working in a similar role considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Basic math and cash handling skills.
- Superior customer service skill.?
- Adaptability to meet the needs of the business.
- Will be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in order to meet the needs of the business.
Equipment/Machines Used:
- Hy,draulic lift gates (if applicable).
- POS handheld units.
- Material handling equipment such as manual and electronic pallet jacks.
Travel Requirements:
- Overnight travel not required
- Intra and Interstate travel may be required

- Must be able to safely enter/exit the cab and tail of the delivery vehicle repeatedly. Must be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly .
- Must be able to load and unload trailer.
- Must be able to push and pull using material handling equipment up to 300 lbs repeatedly. Moderate Varied Minimal None.
Payrate is $17.00/Hr.
