Our client is seeking a Lead Maintenance Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do as a DIRECT HIRE Group Lead
- Support daily shift operations, motivate team members, and foster positive communication
- Oversee complex printing jobs, including make‑ready, plate/cylinder changes, and die changes
- Perform routine machine maintenance and uphold strict quality standards
- Run press lines, pre‑converting, and post‑converting processes as needed
- Complete production paperwork and perform quality audits
- Assist in training new operators and coordinating packers/temporary staff
- Approve work, make production decisions, and open/close the facility when required
- Use ERP/MES systems (Oracle) to support production workflows
- Produce carton and core labels when needed
- Maintain safe work practices and report any unsafe conditions
What You Bring
- Associate degree OR 3–5 years of flexographic press experience (Mark Andy P Series preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude & troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic math skills and ability to use a ruler
- Ability to distinguish colors (color‑vision testing may be required)
