Our LEAD BARISTA role is an integral part our front-of-house leadership team at our high-volume, flagship Winter Park location on Orlando Avenue. This is a base + tipped role in which full-time team members could expect an average of $20+ per hour. BARISTA DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and acknowledge Guests
- Prepare coffee and alternative beverages following prescribed recipes and finishing/garnish techniques; Latte art skills are strongly required.
- Educate Guests in explanation & presentation of coffee & specialty drink menu items.
- Maintain inventory: Replenish coffee bean supply, stock brewing equipment, stock coffee & beverage bar supplies as necessary.
- Operate all beverage equipment per and manufacturing guidelines.
- Maintain a sanitized and orderly environment in the beverage area given Brand and regulatory guidelines.
- Communicate clearly on the standards and expectations within The Glass Knife
- Opening and closing shift lead duties.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR LEAD COFFEE BARISTA
- Minimum 1+ year in a Lead Barista role; High-volume experience using high-end coffee making equipment is preferred.
- Latte art skills are strongly required.
- Ability to walk and stand for long duration
- Ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to work all scheduled hours, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
