Our growing dental practice in Statesville is seeking an experienced Insurance & Treatment Plan Coordinator to join our team. We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of dental insurance, treatment presentation, and patient financial arrangements.
IMPORTANT: Please do not apply if you do not have prior dental insurance coordination and treatment plan presentation experience. Experience is required for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Verify and review dental insurance benefits and eligibility
- Submit, track, and follow up on insurance claims
- Present treatment plans and financial arrangements to patients
- Explain insurance coverage, estimated patient portions, and payment options
- Obtain and follow up on pre-authorizations when necessary
- Coordinate patient scheduling for treatment acceptance and completion
- Manage insurance aging and outstanding claims
- Maintain accurate patient records in Dentrix
- Communicate professionally with patients, insurance companies, and team members
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of dental insurance and treatment coordinator experience required
- Strong working knowledge of dental insurance plans, claims processing, and benefit breakdowns
- Experience using Dentrix practice management software is required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to discuss treatment confidently and help patients understand their care options
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental office environment
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
