POWR2 is an expanding designer & manufacturer of innovative battery energy storage systems in the upward trending clean energy market. This position offers the opportunity to grow with the company as the world increasingly adopts sustainable energy solutions.
We are seeking a hands-on Supply Chain Lead to take ownership of our end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, materials planning, and logistics. This role is critical to ensuring reliable supply, cost control, and operational scalability as the business grows.
As an individual contributor, you will work closely with finance and senior leadership, acting as the central point of coordination across suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams. The ideal candidate is commercially minded, highly organized, and confident in holding vendors accountable.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Supplier Ownership
- Own supplier relationships across domestic and international vendors
- Lead negotiations on pricing, lead times, and payment terms
- Drive supplier accountability on delivery, quality, and responsiveness
- Identify and onboard new suppliers to improve cost, reliability, and risk profile
- Continuously evaluate and optimize the supplier base
Materials Planning & Inventory
- Manage demand planning and material requirements to support production and project schedules
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels, balancing availability with working capital efficiency
- Partner with operations to align supply with build schedules and changing priorities
- Improve forecasting accuracy and planning processes over time
Logistics & International Operations
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including international freight, customs, and compliance
- Manage freight forwarders, brokers, and shipping partners
- Optimize transportation methods and routes to reduce cost and improve reliability
- Ensure all import/export documentation and regulatory requirements are met
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Work closely with finance on cost management, budgeting, and cash flow planning
- Provide visibility to senior leadership on supply risks, cost drivers, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with engineering and operations on new product introductions and BOM changes
- Act as the internal point of contact for all supply chain-related matters
Process & Systems Improvement
- Maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems
- Develop and track key supply chain KPIs (cost, inventory turns, on-time delivery)
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability
Requirements
- Proven experience in supply chain management with a strong understanding of logistics, procurement, inventory management, and manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP ERP, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms; familiarity with MRP systems is essential.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools including Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and supply chain analytics software.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles like Kaizen and Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments and lead change initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field; advanced certifications such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing are preferred. Qualifications
- 4–7+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations
- Strong experience with international sourcing and logistics
- Proven ability to negotiate effectively and manage supplier performance
- Hands-on experience with materials planning and inventory management
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
- Working knowledge of import/export processes, Incoterms, and freight coordination
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable operating independently and working directly with senior leadership
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
