Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Assist in menu planning by preparing components needed for daily service
- Execute food preparation tasks efficiently, including slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with safety standards in production
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and safety standards in production
- Support catering events and special functions by preparing large quantities of food with consistency and quality
- Serve dishes promptly during service hours, ensuring presentation meets quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely meal delivery
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food industry setting such as restaurant, catering, or dietary department preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety management and handling procedures
- Proven culinary experience with skills in cooking, meal preparation, and food service.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of safety standards in production and food handling regulations
