ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform comprehensive garage door inspections on every service call.
- Diagnose garage door system issues accurately and efficiently.
- Clearly explain problems, safety concerns, and available solutions to homeowners
- Present Good, Better, Best repair and replacement options using company sales processes.
- Building customer confidence through education rather than pressure
- Close recommended work ethically while helping customers make informed decisions. Perform repairs, maintenance, and installations to DoorForce quality standards.
- Install new garage doors and opener systems assigned.
- Complete digital estimates, invoices, photos, and job documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and professional appearance.
- Deliver five-star customer service that earns repeat business and online reviews.
- Meet performance expectations for revenue, average ticket, customer satisfaction, and close rate.
- Contribute to the growth of Door Force through professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Build trust with homeowners within the first few minutes of every appointment.
- Perform complete garage door system inspections, not just the reported repair.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with basic shop organization and vehicle maintenance.
- Support training of new technicians as the team grows.
- Assist in staging materials and preparing for installations.
- Participate in process improvement discussions and provide field feedback.
- Supporting occasional warehouses or inventory organization as needed
- Perform other duties assigned to support the growth and success of the business.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to work with tools and equipment in residential garage environments.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights as required.
- Ability to work in varied weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain.
- Ability to safely navigate job sites including driveways, garages, and uneven surfaces.
- Frequent use of hands, tools, and equipment for installation and repair tasks
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving daily.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of experience in a mechanical, construction, or service-related field
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate tools and perform physical work.
- Strong work ethics and willingness to learn.
PREFERRED:
- Experience in garage door service or installation
- Experience in a skilled trade such as HVAC, electrical, or construction
- Experience working in a customer-facing role.
- Familiarity with service-based business operations – Service Titan
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- This role requires daily local travel to customer homes and job sites.
- Must be available during business hours and responsive to schedule changes.
- Work schedule may vary based on customer demand, including occasional evenings or weekends.
- Technicians are expected to represent the company professionally at all times.
- This role will evolve as the business grows and additional team members are added.
Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
