Primary Purpose
Develops and refines engineering solutions for components and subsystems, ensuring technical integrity and efficiency. Plays a key role in identifying design improvements, resolving technical challenges, and supporting implementation of best practices to enhance reliability and performance.
Duties and Responsibilities-
Evaluates operational data to detect patterns and recommend optimizations.

Assists in preparing engineering drawings, layouts, and technical specifications for new projects.

Analyzes project and operational expenditures to suggest more cost-effective engineering solutions.

Performs calculations related to load, flow rates, material strength, and other technical parameters.

Assesses design drawings and provides recommendations to ensure compliance with project goals.

Helps develop asset lifecycle plans for aging infrastructure and optimize replacement schedules.

Leverages engineering software and data analytics tools for better decision-making.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education
- Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience
- Typically requires 8 years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Facilities Management - Conducts planned preventive and predictive maintenance as well as repairs, to ensure that building systems perform as originally designed and constructed.
- Maintenance Management - Management of activities such as repair work, servicing, replacing, inspecting and testing.
- Engineering Blueprint/Schematics Interpretation - Reading Engineering drawings and understanding the ideas and information that they are intended to communicate.
- Engineering Drawing/Blueprint Development - Creating detailed drawings and blueprints of engineering designs, providing guidelines for construction and implementation.
- Cost Estimation - Cost estimation is the process of approximating the cost of a program, project, or operation.
- Property and Facilities Strategy - Plans and designs short and long term property and facility plans that align with the organization business plans.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Management - The systematic approach to maintain health and safety at occupation and protect the environment.
- Requirements Management - The process of documenting, analyzing, tracing, prioritizing and agreeing on requirements and then controlling change and communicating to relevant stakeholders.
- Regulatory Compliance - Ensuring an organization's adherence to laws, regulations, guidelines and specifications relevant to its business processes.
- Contract Management - Streamlining the creation, execution, storage or renewal of contracts, with a focus on compliance, often via software or other automated means.
