Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in accordance with health regulations
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service
- Handle food preparation tasks including assembling food items, maintaining food quality, and managing food safety protocols
- Manage cash register transactions accurately, including cash handling and retail math calculations
- Support the café’s daily operations by managing time effectively to ensure quick service during busy periods
Experience
- Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling, and food preparation standards
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Experience in serving or retail environments is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
