Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings, ensuring compliance with local building codes and schematics.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, plumbing inspection cameras, and pipe threading equipment safely and effectively on construction sites.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute precise plumbing layouts.
- Conduct drain cleaning using specialized tools and techniques to prevent or resolve blockages.
- Perform plumbing inspections using cameras and other diagnostic tools to identify issues within water systems.
- Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and other trades to ensure seamless project progress.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment while maintaining safety protocols; operate company vehicles for project transportation.
- Troubleshoot plumbing system failures, perform repairs or replacements of pipes, fixtures, and water systems as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including schematics updates and maintenance logs.
- Assist with remodeling projects by assembling fixtures and ensuring proper integration with existing structures.
Skills
- Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of plumbing installation and repair techniques.
- Skilled in welding, pipe threading, assembly, and using power tools safely on construction sites.
- Knowledge of drainage systems, water supply lines, HVAC integration, and plumbing system maintenance.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans accurately.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations governing residential and commercial plumbing projects.
- Experience operating plumbing inspection cameras for diagnostics; proficient in schematics reading.
- Mechanical knowledge related to water systems; handyman experience is a plus for versatile troubleshooting.
- Capable of heavy lifting; physically fit for demanding tasks involving manual labor on construction sites.
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients during service calls or project updates.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles; commercial driving certification preferred.
