Job Summary
Join our team as a Lawn Maintenance Crew Member and help create beautiful, well-maintained lawns throughout our community! In this role, you’ll primarily be responsible for weekly lawn mowing, edging, trimming, and cleanup for residential and commercial properties. You’ll take pride in delivering consistent, high-quality results while working outdoors in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You will also have opportunities to gain experience in additional services such as mulch installation, aeration and overseeding, seasonal cleanups, and other landscape maintenance. This paid position is perfect for someone who enjoys working hard, being outdoors, and making a visible difference every day.
Responsibilities:
- Mow lawns using push mowers, riding mowers, or commercial equipment to ensure a well-manicured lawn
- Trim trees, shrubs, and hedges with hand tools or power tools to maintain healthy growth and desired shapes
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as edging, pruning, and mulching to enhance landscape aesthetics
- Operate equipment including excavators and snow plows for seasonal maintenance needs
- Assist with snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access for clients and properties
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and perform basic maintenance to keep tools in clean, optimal condition
Experience:
- Prior experience with lawn care, landscaping, or gardening is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating and maintaining various landscaping machinery and tools
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices such as tree trimming, aeration, and horticulture principles is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for physically demanding tasks
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to the use of power tools, heavy equipment like excavators, and construction materials is beneficial
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards learning new skills in landscape maintenance and construction environments
