We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform electrical system troubleshooting to identify faults.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to execute precise installations and repairs.
- Maintain building automation systems (BAS) to optimize system performance and energy efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems, including cleaning filters, inspecting ductwork, and calibrating controls.
- Troubleshoot complex equipment problems related to HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems with mechanical knowledge and technical skill.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards such as EPA regulations for refrigerants and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment for repairs and installations efficiently and safely.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining system issues clearly and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and system diagnostics for each job.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar construction or mechanical systems repair role.
- Strong understanding of HVAC system installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting processes.
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, building automation systems (BAS), electrical diagnostics, plumbing basics, and refrigeration systems.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and specialized diagnostic instruments like ohmmeters.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required; additional certifications in electrical diagnostics or HVAC/R are advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces or at heights as needed.
- Knowledge of electrical systems including wiring diagrams and control circuits is highly desirable.

Pay: $28.33 - $50.00 per hour
