Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures in residential and commercial settings. Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and vehicle to commute to job site every day. Construction and post frame building experience preferred but willing to train on the job if only have a basic skill level of experience
Duties
- Read and interpret measurements
- Measure, cut, or shape wood, steel, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials
- Build or repair door frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures
- Construct building frameworks including walls, floors, and doorframes
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, steel siding and concrete posts
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as needed
Skills
- Proficiency in reading tape measure
- Experience in frame carpentry and installation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting
- Familiarity with remodeling projects
- Skill in construction estimating
- Experienced with heights
- Proficiency in setting trusses
- Understanding of most power tools
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
