A growing company is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This position will play a key role in managing the revenue accounting process, ensuring compliance with GAAP, analyzing production and sales data, and supporting the month-end close process. The ideal candidate will have upstream oil & gas experience, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of revenue recognition and joint interest accounting concepts.
Key Responsibilities-
Perform monthly revenue accounting activities, including recording oil, gas, and NGL sales transactions.

Analyze production volumes, pricing, royalties, and revenue distributions.

Prepare and review revenue accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries.

Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and company revenue recognition policies.

Research and resolve revenue discrepancies with operators, purchasers, and internal stakeholders.

Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.

Collaborate with land, operations, marketing, and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting.

Review division orders, ownership changes, and royalty calculations.

Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.

Assist with SEC reporting and financial statement disclosures as needed.
Qualifications-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.

CPA certification or CPA candidate preferred.

4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within oil & gas.

Strong understanding of upstream revenue accounting and revenue recognition principles.

Experience with oil & gas accounting systems such as Enverus, OGSYS, Excalibur, SAP, or similar platforms.

Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
