Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, electrical systems, and other heavy equipment components using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) equipment.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently by interpreting schematics and utilizing electrical and automotive diagnostics techniques.
- Service and repair farm machinery, industrial equipment, and heavy construction machinery to minimize downtime.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, alignments, suspension work, and HVAC system servicing.
- Maintain detailed service records, follow safety protocols diligently, and ensure all work complies with industry standards for quality and safety.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy equipment mechanics.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brake systems.
- Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; capable of working with schematics for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Experience working with construction machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other OEM equipment.
- Proficient in using power tools, hand tools, diagnostic software, and heavy lifting equipment safely.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining safety standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication during repairs or maintenance procedures.
