Cortec Precision Manufacturing Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Payroll Clerk to join our HR team at our Pflugerville, TX facility.
Job Overview:
This is a fully in-office role reporting directly to the HR Manager. You’ll help keep our employees paid accurately and on time — collecting timesheets, verifying payroll data, and processing paychecks using our payroll software (ADP & MieTrak).
What You’ll Do
- Collect and review employee timesheets after each pay period
- Verify that payroll information and hours worked are accurate
- Enter payroll data into our software systems (ADP, MieTrak)
- Calculate taxes, deductions, bonuses, commissions, and other payable hours
- Communicate with employees to gather payment information and answer paycheck questions
- Investigate and resolve any payroll discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee payroll records
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- 0–2 years of payroll or related experience (preferred)
- Accurate data entry skills and strong attention to detail
- Microsoft Office
- Willingness to learn MieTrak and ADP payroll software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
- Strong sense of discretion and respect for employee privacy
- Reliable team player who can also work independently
