Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including grooming, feeding, and hygiene, ensuring comfort and independence.
- Collect and document data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment plans.
- Implement individualized behavior management strategies based on approved care plans, promoting positive behaviors.
- Support clients in structured teaching activities aligned with ABA principles to enhance communication, social skills, and functional independence.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to adapt interventions for children with autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding medical records and sensitive client information.
- Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, medical terminology, ethical standards, and professional conduct as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, especially in home-based or educational settings, is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Experience assisting with ADLs and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Knowledge of medical documentation procedures, medical terminology, and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Familiarity with working within HIPAA guidelines to ensure client confidentiality and privacy.
- Previous exposure to behavioral health environments supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorders or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $24.78 - $29.84 per hour
