Machine Operator

A well-established food manufacturing company is seeking experienced Machine Operators to join its production team in the greater Kankakee area.
This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for operators with a proven track record of running production equipment in a manufacturing environment, ideally within food, packaging, extrusion, or high-volume production facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and adjust production and packaging equipment
- Perform machine setups, changeovers, and product changeovers
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and identify equipment concerns
- Maintain consistent production output while meeting quality standards
- Complete production documentation and quality checks
- Work closely with maintenance and production teams to maximize uptime
- Follow all safety and food manufacturing procedures
Preferred Experience
- 3+ years operating manufacturing equipment at the same employer
- Experience with multiple machine types and production processes
- Food manufacturing, packaging, extrusion, plastics, or continuous production experience highly preferred
- Experience with conveyors, packaging lines, fillers, sealers, mixers, palletizers, or automated equipment
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
