A leading global wholesale bank is seeking a Regulatory Reporting Director to lead regulatory capital and financial reporting activities for its U.S. broker-dealer entity. This is a highly visible leadership position with significant exposure to executive management, Finance, Treasury, Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, and regulators.
The successful candidate will serve as the firm's subject matter expert for SEC Rule 15c3-1 (Net Capital) and will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of regulatory reporting obligations. This role will play a critical part in maintaining a robust regulatory framework while supporting strategic business growth across the broker-dealer platform.

Lead all aspects of regulatory capital reporting for the broker-dealer, with primary responsibility for SEC Rule 15c3-1 (Net Capital) calculations, monitoring, analysis, and governance.

Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of regulatory filings, including FOCUS Reports and other SEC and FINRA reporting requirements.

Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory examinations, inquiries, and audits relating to broker-dealer capital and financial reporting.

Provide expert interpretation of SEC, FINRA, and broker-dealer regulatory requirements and assess the impact of new or evolving regulations.

Partner closely with Finance, Treasury, Operations, Risk Management, Front Office, and Compliance teams to ensure appropriate regulatory treatment of transactions and business activities.

Lead regulatory capital forecasting, stress testing, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Design and enhance reporting controls, governance frameworks, and regulatory reporting processes to ensure a strong control environment.

Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement across regulatory reporting workflows.

Present regulatory capital metrics, reporting results, and emerging risks to senior leadership and governance committees.

Manage relationships with external auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders.

Mentor and develop a team of regulatory reporting professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and regulatory excellence.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

10+ years of experience within broker-dealer regulatory reporting, capital management, finance, or regulatory accounting functions.

Deep expertise in SEC Rule 15c3-1 (Net Capital), including capital computations, deductions, haircuts, and regulatory interpretation.

Strong understanding of broker-dealer regulatory reporting requirements, including FOCUS reporting and FINRA regulations.

Experience interacting directly with regulators, auditors, and senior executive stakeholders.

Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex regulatory reporting initiatives.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

CPA, CFA, or advanced degree preferred.

Experience within a large global bank, investment bank, or systemically important financial institution.

Exposure to SEC Rule 15c3-3, CFTC regulations, liquidity management, and broader regulatory capital frameworks.

Experience leading regulatory reporting transformation, automation, or strategic change initiatives.
