Store Manager – Full Time

Position Summary:
We are seeking a personable and motivated Store Manager to drive sales and profitability, through operations and inventory management, while providing excellent customer service. The Store Manager will not only supervise and motivate the sales associates, but will also mentor and develop the team by providing inspiration to drive sales and exceed customer service expectation though coaching and providing effective feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all store operations leading by example and enforcing all policies and procedures
- Manage employee scheduling and ensure store is staffed appropriately to meet business needs
- Maintain store staff by recruiting, onboarding, and training new employees, as well as coaching, providing feedback, and disciplining existing employees when needed
- Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and current customers, as well as local hockey associations
- Lead team members to achieve overall store objectives and deliver exceptional service
- Ensure availability of merchandise and services by managing and maintaining inventories
- Warmly greet customers, ensuring each guest feels welcome and valued
- Assist shoppers in locating specific hockey equipment, apparel, and accessories, as well as placing special orders when necessary
- Share detailed product information and offer expert recommendations to help customers make informed purchasing decisions
- Accurately and efficiently process sales transactions using our point-of-sale system
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor, including merchandising displays
- Perform skate sharpening and profiling services for customers (full training provided)
- Consistently work to achieve and exceed individual and store sales goals
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a courteous and professional manner
Required Qualifications:
- Previous retail management experience
- Ability to hire, train and coach employees at all levels
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an outgoing and friendly demeanor
- Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and creating positive experiences
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Basic math and literacy skills (reading, writing, and calculations)
- Proficiency using computers and handheld devices for transactions and inventory management
- Ability to stand, walk, and move actively throughout shift hours
- Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and select holidays as needed
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge or passion for hockey
- Experience as a current or former hockey player, or strong working knowledge of hockey products and terminology

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
