Help Shape One of the Most Strategic Workstreams in a Major Airline Integration
We're seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the Commercial workstream of a large-scale airline integration following a recent merger.
This is one of the highest visibility workstreams within the broader enterprise transformation, spanning the Passenger Service System (PSS), approximately 10 to 15 connected commercial products, and integrations across digital channels, marketing technology, revenue platforms, and other customer-facing systems. You'll partner closely with the Commercial Project Manager, business leaders, and technical teams to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements that keep the integration moving forward.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced transformation environments, enjoys solving ambiguous business problems, and can confidently facilitate discussions with senior stakeholders while creating the documentation that enables successful delivery.
What You'll Do
-
Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and process requirements for the Commercial workstream.
-
Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define current-state and future-state processes and identify integration impacts.
-
Lead stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, and working sessions across multiple business and technology teams.
-
Create business requirements, functional requirements, process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria, and impact assessments that technical teams can execute with minimal clarification.
-
Analyze business, operational, system, data, and integration dependencies across Commercial and connected enterprise platforms.
-
Identify risks, assumptions, constraints, open questions, and cross-functional impacts throughout the project lifecycle.
-
Maintain requirements traceability from business objectives through solution delivery and validation.
-
Support testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover planning, change management, and operational readiness activities.
-
Partner closely with the Commercial Project Manager to manage scope, stakeholder communication, executive updates, and governance materials.
-
Collaborate with business teams, IT, vendors, cybersecurity, infrastructure, data teams, and integration partners to ensure alignment throughout delivery.
-
Work effectively within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments depending on the initiative.
Qualifications
-
7+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting complex enterprise technology or business transformation initiatives.
-
Demonstrated success supporting enterprise platform implementations, integrations, digital transformations, or M&A programs.
-
Strong experience facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, documenting business processes, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
-
Exceptional analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
-
Experience working directly with senior business leaders and cross-functional technology teams.
-
Comfortable working through ambiguity and creating structure in fast-moving environments.
-
Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, Visio, Confluence, Microsoft 365, or similar collaboration and requirements management tools.
Preferred Experience
-
Merger & Acquisition (M&A) integration experience.
-
Airline, travel, transportation, hospitality, or other operationally complex industries.
-
Experience supporting Commercial organizations including Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Revenue Management, Digital Products, Loyalty, or Passenger Service Systems.
-
Experience supporting vendor-led or systems integrator-led implementations.
What Actually Matters
The hiring manager was very direct about what separates good candidates from great ones.
This team isn't looking for someone who simply documents requirements after meetings. They're looking for a Business Analyst who asks thoughtful questions, uncovers gaps before they become problems, challenges assumptions, and helps stakeholders reach alignment.
The ideal candidate is comfortable facilitating conversations with senior leaders, navigating ambiguity, and creating the clarity that keeps complex initiatives moving forward.
Strong documentation skills are expected.
Curiosity, critical thinking, executive presence, and the ability to influence without direct authority are what make someone successful in this role.
