Compensation & Total Rewards Package
- Base Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 (Commensurate with experience)
- Target Year 1 OTE (On-Target Earnings): $95,000 – $125,000+ (Uncapped upside)
- Immediate Equity Track: 20% Profit/Dividend Distribution Share starting on Day 1 (Vesting fully over 24 months)
How the Upside Works (Our Compensation Philosophy)
We believe in rewarding our Managing Director like an equity partner from day one. We have built a highly transparent, seasonally adjusted compensation framework designed to give you a stable runway while you learn the business, followed by a massive financial upside as we scale.
- Two-Tier Monthly Commission: You will earn a 15% commission on monthly Gross Profit up to a set baseline target to ensure company stability, which instantly jumps to an aggressive 30% commission on every dollar of Gross Profit generated above that baseline.
- Seasonally Adjusted Baselines: Our targets are deliberately structured quarter-by-quarter for the first year to account for the Northern Virginia winter season, ensuring you have a fair, realistic path to unlocking high-tier commissions from day one.
- Cash-Collected Security: To align our goals perfectly, commissions are calculated and paid monthly as final project payments are collected from our clients.
- Long-Term Wealth Generation: Because you will be running the day-to-day operations, you will receive 20% of all distributed company profits from Day 1, giving you immediate skin in the game as a future equity partner.
About Alpine Fence and Deck (& Treehouse)
Founded in August 2025, Alpine Fence and Deck is an outdoor living construction company serving Alexandria and Northern Virginia. We have a current Class B Virginia Contractor License (HIC specialty). We specialize in high-quality fences, custom decks, and unique, high-end treehouses. The founder is stepping into a governance role, creating a rare opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader to take operational control and earn a significant ownership stake in a profitable business.
What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities)
As the Managing Director, you will own the P&L (Profit and Loss) and lead the daily operations of Alpine Fence and Deck. Your time will be dynamically distributed across three core pillars:
- Drive Revenue & Strategic Growth (approx. 50%): You are the primary face of the company. Beyond taking ownership of inbound sales, conducting on-site consultations, and closing high-ticket contracts, you will think like a founder. You will strategically identify and explore new business opportunities, with a heavy emphasis on developing and expanding our custom, high-end treehouse line of business.
- Project & Crew Management (approx. 30%): Coordinate, schedule, and oversee 2 to 3 installation crews made up of a combination of in-house employees and specialized subcontractors. You will oversee material ordering, local permitting, logistics, and rigorous quality control to ensure builds stay on time, on budget, and up to our strict quality standards.
- Business Governance & Administration (approx. 20%): Manage client invoicing, protect company cash flow through proactive collections, and coordinate with the company bookkeeper. You will maintain clear records and provide a high-level financial health update to the owner on a bi-weekly basis.

- Construction & Trades Savvy: You possess a strong understanding of residential construction, framing, or outdoor structures. You must know how to look at a backyard layout, calculate material and labor needs for an accurate estimate, and talk shop intelligently with an experienced field crew.
- Exceptional Communication & Client Care: You understand that building fences, decks, and custom treehouses happens in our clients' backyards. You are skilled at managing client expectations, answering questions, and delivering a 5-star customer experience from contract to final payment.
- Hyper-Organized & Systems-Minded: Logistics in Northern Virginia require precision. You are highly organized, capable of managing moving schedules, and comfortable leveraging modern business software (CRM, scheduling apps, and invoicing tools) to keep the business running efficiently.
- Local to the DMV: You must be based in or very near Alexandria, VA, possess a valid driver’s license, and have a reliable vehicle for local client site visits.
- Bilingual Communication: Fluency in English is required. Fluency in Spanish is a massive plus; if not already fluent, a strong willingness and proactive attitude toward learning professional-working Spanish to communicate effectively with our field crew is required.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
