We are seeking a skilled and dependable Assembly Technician to join our growing shop team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and wants to be part of building high-quality custom homes.

Create and build beautiful custom living spaces! Pine Haven Cottages specializes in crafting custom tiny homes that serve as serene living spaces or charming retreats.
The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling and finishing cottage units in a fast-paced production environment. This role works across multiple trades and plays a key part in delivering completed homes that meet our high standards for quality and design. The ideal candidate brings a broad understanding of residential construction or manufactured housing and thrives in hands-on, team-oriented work.
Assembly & Production Work
- Perform assembly of cottage units and subcomponents according to production plans and specifications
- Execute tasks across various stages of construction, including framing and finishing
- Install and assist with systems such as electrical, plumbing, and HVAC as needed
Cross-Functional Trade Work
- Apply general knowledge of residential construction practices (interior and exterior)
- Assist with roofing, siding, interior finish work (trim, flooring, cabinetry), and related tasks
- Support other departments as needed to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery
Safety & Quality
- Follow established processes and standards to ensure product quality
- Identify and communicate issues, defects, or opportunities for improvement
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Work efficiently to meet production timelines without compromising quality
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, housing construction, or a TRADE-related field preferred
- Experience in manufactured housing or residential construction strongly preferred
- Working knowledge in one or more of the following:
- Electrical – Plumbing – HVAC – Carpentry (Int Finish) – Roofing – Exterior
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools
- Ability to read basic plans, drawings, or work instructions
- Team-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and take on a variety of tasks
Schedule, Pay & Growth Path
This role is full-time, with regular OT. A work week schedule of 40-50 hrs/week M-F on day shift is common. This is indoor production work, a non-temperature controlled shop, and a physically active work with a rate of pay ranging from $23 to $28/hr. Varied based on skills and experience.
This role also offers long-term growth opportunities, including advancement into other positions or transition into additional roles within our Oasis Group operations.
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
