Duties
- Lead youth soccer practices and games, ensuring all activities are fun, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate
- Teach fundamental soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork strategies
- Develop lesson plans that incorporate sports-specific training instruction and promote physical fitness
- Manage behavior on the field through effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive environment
- Communicate clearly with players, parents, and fellow coaches to ensure everyone is informed and engaged
- Monitor safety protocols diligently, including AED operation readiness and injury prevention measures
- Support children’s overall development by integrating elements of childcare, teaching, and sports coaching best practices
Requirements
- Prior experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education; soccer coaching experience is highly preferred
- Knowledge of sports-specific training instruction and coaching techniques for youth athletes
- Strong communication skills to effectively motivate children and collaborate with parents and team members
- Certification or experience in CPR/AED operation is advantageous for ensuring safety during activities
- Background in lifeguard experience, swimming, martial arts (such as karate or judo), cheerleading, climbing or other physical disciplines is a plus
- Experience working with children or students in educational or recreational settings
- Ability to manage behavior positively while fostering teamwork and sportsmanship
