Schedule: 5–6 classes per week (early to mid-afternoon hours)
Compensation: $50 per 50-minute class

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Strings Teacher (Violin) to join our faculty. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with elementary-aged children and can bring both musical excellence and warmth to the classroom.
The teacher will lead group violin instruction for students of varying skill levels, helping children develop strong musical foundations while fostering a love of music, discipline, listening, and artistic expression. Knowledge of or interest in Waldorf education is a plus.
Class sizes range from approximately 10–14 students.
Responsibilities
- Teach 5–6 weekly violin classes for elementary-aged students
- Provide instruction for children at varying levels of experience and ability
- Create engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and well-managed classroom environment
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, families and administration as needed
- Support student growth in musical skills, confidence, and ensemble participation
- Prepare for and lead the children in our Fall and Spring Concert
Qualifications
- Strong violin performance skills
- Experience teaching violin to children of varying ages and ability levels
- Experience teaching elementary-aged students in a group setting
- Ability to create a warm, engaging, and structured learning environment
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Interest in Waldorf-inspired education is appreciated but not required
- Reliability, professionalism, and a genuine love of working with children
