Back of House Team Member — Pepper Lunch
Overview
Pepper Lunch is Hawaii's home for the sizzling teppan plate, and our back of house crew is what makes it happen. In this role you'll prep ingredients, cook on our iron plates, and keep the kitchen clean and moving through the lunch and dinner rush. It's hands on and fast paced. No experience needed. If you show up ready to work and want to learn, we'll teach you the rest.
Responsibilities
- Prep ingredients for service: portioning meats, cooking and holding rice, making sauces, and cutting vegetables to our daily standards
- Cook and plate menu items on the teppan line so every dish comes out right on recipe, portion, and presentation
- Handle hot iron plates safely and quickly during busy service
- Wash dishes, utensils, and plates, and keep clean dishware flowing to the line
- Follow food safety and sanitation rules that meet Hawaii Department of Health standards, start to finish
- Keep your station, equipment, and storage areas clean, stocked, and organized all shift
- Jump in wherever the team needs you when it gets busy
Qualifications
- Kitchen experience is a plus, but we're glad to train the right person
- Comfortable working in a hot, fast kitchen
- Able to stay focused and keep quality up when things get busy
- Reliable, on time, and easy to work with
- Can stand for long stretches and lift up to 25-50 lbs
- Open to a flexible schedule, including weekends and peak lunch or dinner hours

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
