Psychiatric Advanced Practice Provider (PMHNP or PA-C)

About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated clinician to provide high-quality, in-office psychiatric care and medication management. In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients while working alongside an integrated, supportive team. This position reports to practice owner and double board certified psychiatrist Dr. Matt Larsen, DO.
Ascend Mental Health is open Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. This is a full-time position.
What You’ll Do
- Assess & Diagnose: Conduct psychiatric evaluations, review medical/social histories, and formulate accurate diagnoses.
- Treat & Manage: Design personalized care plans, prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, and provide crisis intervention or therapy sessions as needed.
- Collaborate: Partner closely with our in-house therapists, psychologists, and care coordinators to ensure holistic patient care.
- Document: Maintain accurate, timely patient charts and compliance records.
What We’re Looking For
- License: Current, unrestricted Idaho license as a Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or Physician Assistant (PA-C with dedicated psychiatry experience).
- Credentials: Active DEA registration and Idaho prescriptive authority.
- Skills: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, proficient computer skills, and a genuinely empathetic approach to working with patients and families.
- Clearance: Must pass an advanced background check.

Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
