Summary: The Account Manager II is responsible for working with Producers and Account Executives to service client accounts. The position requires day to day client servicing for a specific set of clients and entails a great deal of verbal, electronic and other written communications. The Account Manager II will handle the renewal and marketing process, and prepare materials for presentations and communications, in collaboration with their more senior team members. At this level, an Account Manager II will lead open enrollment presentations and may take an active role in client meetings. Work is completed with a significant amount of independent discretion. While in this role, this person should be developing relationships with clients and carrier contacts and working proactively to optimally and efficiently deliver services to clients.

Develops and maintains strong relationships with clients, carriers, and vendors, serving as a key point of contact and taking an active role in client meetings, calls, and strategic discussions.

Supports the marketing and renewal process by preparing and distributing RFPs, analyzing carrier proposals and plan designs, negotiating with carriers, reviewing contracts and source documents for accuracy, and recommending renewal strategies in partnership with Producers and senior team members.

Prepares client deliverables including renewal presentations, benefit guides, employee communications, compliance audit materials, and other resources, ensuring all information remains accurate and up to date following enrollments or coverage changes.

Provides ongoing client service support by responding to client requests, resolving product, vendor, or service-related issues, monitoring carrier performance, and recommending appropriate products and services to meet client needs.

Assists with compliance and regulatory requirements, including ensuring timely completion of Form 5500 filings and keeping clients informed of relevant industry trends, state and federal regulations, and marketplace developments.

Participates in key client initiatives such as new business implementations, open enrollment, non-discrimination testing, and other special projects, while collaborating with account management teams to deliver exceptional service.

May provide informal leadership, guidance, and mentoring to less experienced team members based on experience and expertise, without direct supervisory responsibility.

Associates degree (or equivalent experience), with BA/BS preferred

More than 3 years’ client service and/or industry and product line experience

Life, Accident and Health Insurance License required.

The base salary range for this position is $65,970 – $105,570. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
