Electrical Apprentice
The Electrical Apprentice supports licensed electricians in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and/or industrial settings.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Minimum of two years experience, three preferred.
- Assist licensed electricians with installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment
- Pull wire, bend and install conduit, and mount electrical boxes
- Install outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and electrical panels under supervision
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly
- Test electrical systems using appropriate testing devices
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, and electrical codes
- Load, unload, and organize materials and tools on job sites
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members
- Attend required training, classes, and apprenticeship schooling
Safety Responsibilities
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
- Identify and report unsafe conditions immediately
- Participate in safety meetings and job hazard analyses
- Work in compliance with OSHA and local electrical codes
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Opportunity to advance to Journeyman Electrician and Lead Electrician roles
