Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of dental assistants and support staff to maintain high standards of patient care and operational efficiency.
- Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and X-ray machines, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use.
- Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic to accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct vital signs assessments and assist with chairside assisting tasks including taking dental terminology notes, medical coding, and managing medical records.
- Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and managing patient flow to optimize clinic productivity.
- Educate patients on oral health practices while demonstrating excellent communication skills and professionalism throughout their visit.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a fast-paced dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, aseptic technique, and medical imaging procedures such as X-ray and 3D scanning.
- Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic is a plus.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records management and confidentiality standards.
- Experience supporting pediatric dentistry procedures is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of dental assistants while maintaining high standards of patient care and clinic operations.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
