Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision components according to technical specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production, adherence to safety standards, and efficient workflow. Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of CNC machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC machining centers to produce precision parts.
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents to ensure accurate manufacturing processes.
- Program CNC equipment using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust machine parameters for optimal performance.
- Set up machines by installing tooling, calibrating equipment, and verifying dimensions with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshoot industrial equipment issues, and perform minor repairs to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all safety standards in production are followed diligently, including proper use of hand tools and personal protective equipment.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks, materials handling, packaging, and quality control inspections to meet production goals.
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming and CAM programming for various machine types.
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Experience operating different types of industrial equipment such as press brake machines, stamping presses, flexo presses, and forklift trucks.
- Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and fabrication drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using precision measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, shop math, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and other measurement instruments.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, shop math, and factory safety standards.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar CAD software for design review or modifications is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with materials handling, warehouse operations, packaging procedures, and assembly tasks.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for industrial equipment issues and process improvements.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to interpret technical documentation efficiently.
