Construction Project Manager – Luxury Custom Homes

Jenkins Design Build is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of exceptional luxury custom homes throughout the Austin area.
This is a hands-on leadership role for an accomplished construction professional who can bring structure, accountability, and momentum to complex residential projects. The Project Manager will work closely with company leadership, project superintendents, architects, interior designers, trade contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure each project is delivered with excellence.

- Purchasing and Procurement
- Trade Contractor and Vendor Payment Management
- Scope, Quality, and Contract Compliance
- Risk and Change Management
- Client Communication and Satisfaction
- Project Reporting and Closeout
What You Will Be Accountable For
- Establishing clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations for each project team
- Maintaining accurate project schedules and proactively addressing potential delays
- Managing project budgets, commitments, cost projections, and monthly job cost forecasts
- Coordinating purchasing and confirming materials are released in accordance with the project schedule
- Preparing, documenting, and managing change orders before affected work proceeds
- Reviewing trade contractor and vendor invoices for accuracy and timely payment
- Producing clear weekly and monthly project status reports
- Maintaining complete and current project documentation
- Partnering with the Project Superintendent to achieve quality, safety, and schedule expectations
- Providing clients with timely, accurate, and proactive communication
- Identifying project risks early and driving them to resolution
- Supporting an organized project closeout and successful client turnover
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive construction experience
- Minimum of 5 years managing luxury custom single-family residential construction
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, high-value residential projects from preconstruction through completion
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, business, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, contracts, scheduling, purchasing, and financial controls
- Experience creating and maintaining detailed critical-path construction schedules
- Proven ability to manage project budgets and prepare accurate cost-to-complete forecasts
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and leadership skills
- Professional and confident when communicating with sophisticated clients, architects, designers, and trade partners
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction project-management software
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between the Austin headquarters and project sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing custom homes valued at $6 million or more
- Experience in an integrated architecture, interior design, and construction environment
- Proficiency with Buildertrend, Bluebeam, and CPM scheduling software
- Established knowledge of the Austin-area trade contractor and vendor market
