About the Role
EnviroControl Systems is a family-owned comfort solutions business that has been proudly serving Dayton and the surrounding communities for over 22 years!
As a Service Technician, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair light commercial HVAC systems. You will work alongside a supportive team while developing your skills through hands-on training and industry certifications.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, packaged units, mini-splits.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, vent tables, and technical documents
- Perform refrigerant charging, brazing, soldering, and electrical connections in compliance with safety and code standards
- Run ductwork, gas piping, and flue/condensate piping; perform air balancing and duct diagnostics
- Calculate equipment efficiency and ensure system performance to company and industry standards
- Educate customers on system operation, maintenance, efficiency improvements, and replacement options
- Maintain accurate paperwork, timesheets, and job documentation
- Operate company vehicle safely and professionally; follow all OSHA, EPA, and company safety requirements
- Keep jobsites organized and clean while ensuring proper use of PPE and tools
- Participate in staggered schedules and on-call emergency service rotation
- Represent the company with professionalism, teamwork, and a customer-first attitude
- Mentor and train less experienced team members as needed, as experience progresses
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift/carry 100 lbs., work on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces; tolerate extreme seasonal heat/cold
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
