As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality coffee and beverage products. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items with precision and care.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and taking their orders accurately.
- Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, and manage payments efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations at all times.
- Assist customers with product recommendations and answer any questions they may have about the menu.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and communicate needs to management as necessary.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and understanding retail math concepts.
- Experience in food safety practices is preferred to maintain high hygiene standards.
- Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Ability to operate cash registers and handle cash accurately.
- A friendly demeanor with a willingness to help others in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a café or retail setting is advantageous but not required.
Base Pay
Starts at $12/hr + tips (based on 2025 averages, $17-$22/hr)
