Job Description
Renew Ketamine Infusion is seeking a compassionate, clinically strong Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our established physician-led ketamine and interventional mental health clinic in Seal Beach, California.
We specialize in IV ketamine infusion therapy, Spravato (esketamine), and advanced treatment options for patients with treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, CRPS, migraines, and other mental health and chronic pain conditions.
This is an excellent part-time opportunity for an NP or PA who enjoys hands-on patient care and is interested in working in a calm, supportive outpatient environment at the intersection of procedural medicine and mental health care.
The position is expected to begin at approximately 20 hours per week, with the potential to grow into a full-time role as the clinic expands. A future full-time position would include employee benefits.
Strong peripheral IV placement skills are highly preferred. Candidates with emergency medicine, urgent care, infusion, anesthesia/PACU, procedural, or similar clinical experience are particularly encouraged to apply.
Previous ketamine or Spravato experience is helpful but not required. We are happy to train an otherwise strong candidate.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an NP or PA who is clinically capable, personable, dependable, and comfortable with hands-on patient care.
You should communicate well with patients experiencing depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and other challenging conditions and enjoy working collaboratively within a smaller physician-led outpatient practice.
Strong IV skills are particularly valuable for this position. Prior psychiatric experience is helpful but not required.
We are especially interested in a provider who would be interested in growing with the practice and potentially transitioning into a full-time position as patient volume and clinic operations expand.
Position Details

- Schedule based on patient scheduling, clinic volume, and operational needs

Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in an interventional mental health setting
- Place peripheral IVs and participate in IV ketamine treatments in accordance with clinic protocols, applicable scope of practice, and physician-led treatment plans
- Monitor patients throughout ketamine infusions and recovery
- Perform appropriate pre-treatment assessments and follow-up evaluations
- Review vital signs, medications, medical history, and treatment eligibility
- Recognize and appropriately respond to adverse reactions or changes in patient condition
- Provide clinical monitoring and support for Spravato treatments in accordance with clinic protocols and applicable REMS requirements
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate closely with physician leadership and other clinic staff
- Help maintain a safe, professional, comfortable, and supportive treatment environment
- Support excellent patient experience and continuity of care
QualificationsRequired
Candidates must meet the applicable California licensing requirements for one of the following:
Nurse Practitioner
- Active and unrestricted California RN license and Nurse Practitioner certification
OR
Physician Assistant
- Active and unrestricted California Physician Assistant license
All candidates must also have:
- Current BLS certification
- Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered approach
- Ability to manage patients with appropriate clinical autonomy while collaborating closely with physician leadership
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Professionalism and dependability
- Comfort working in a smaller outpatient clinical environment
- Interest in ketamine therapy, interventional mental health care, and innovative treatment approaches
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong peripheral IV insertion/venipuncture skills
- Emergency medicine, urgent care, infusion therapy, anesthesia/PACU, procedural, or similar clinical experience
- Experience administering and monitoring IV medications
- Prior ketamine infusion and/or Spravato experience is a plus but not required
- Experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, pain management, or chronic pain care
- PMHNP certification or psychiatric experience is a plus but not required
- DEA registration and/or applicable furnishing/prescribing credentials if relevant to clinical responsibilities
