The person we will hire must have the following abilities:
Love talking to people in person or on the phone. Has energy and a smile all day all the time when at work. Can multitask effectively and displays calm energy even on “ruff” days. We are looking for a person who takes initiative, asks questions, and completes tasks diligently and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries and selections
- Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Scheduling appointments with customers, confirming appointments and assisting the groomers in checkin
- Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
- Support supervising staff in training new team members when required
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grooming/pet retail industry
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math calculations
- Experience in customer service roles with strong communication skills
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases
- Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies is advantageous
