Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of dental procedures, and the ability to assist the dental team effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring that patients are comfortable and informed throughout their treatment.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation, including patient histories and treatment plans.
- Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with both patients and the dental team.
- Support front office operations as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
- Implement aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during procedures.
- Assist in prosthodontics procedures as required, demonstrating knowledge of relevant techniques.
- Practice four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during treatments.
- Stay updated on medical coding practices for accurate record keeping.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is mandatory.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with dental receptionist duties is a plus, including appointment scheduling and patient communication.
- Experience with Epic or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for maintaining accurate medical records.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
