Pet's Friend Animal Clinic is an AAHA-accredited, seven-doctor practice seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team.
We're looking for an RVT with a strong technical foundation, sound clinical judgment, and a genuine commitment to patient care. At Pet's Friend, we believe credentialed technicians are an essential part of practicing excellent medicine. Our RVTs are trusted to use their knowledge, think critically, communicate openly, and contribute to patient care throughout the hospital.
What You'll Do
As an RVT, you'll work throughout the hospital providing technical support in appointments, treatment, surgery, dentistry, and hospitalized patient care.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing patient assessments and obtaining accurate medical histories
- Safely handling and restraining patients
- Collecting laboratory samples and performing in-house diagnostics
- Placing intravenous catheters and administering treatments
- Performing diagnostic radiography
- Inducing, monitoring, and recovering anesthesia
- Assisting with surgical and dental procedures
- Performing dental radiographs and prophylaxis
- Monitoring and caring for hospitalized patients
- Conducting technician appointments
- Educating clients on medications, treatments, and discharge instructions
- Maintaining complete and accurate medical records
- Supporting and mentoring assistants as appropriate
We encourage our RVTs to practice to the full extent of their education, experience, and California scope of practice.

- Digital radiography
- Digital dental radiography
- Ultrasound
- In-house laboratory
- Multiparameter anesthesia monitoring
- Daily surgery and dentistry

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a current California RVT license
- Demonstrates strong technical and nursing skills
- Exercises sound clinical judgment
- Communicates professionally with clients and teammates
- Takes ownership of their work
- Adapts well in a fast-paced environment
- Enjoys teaching others while continuing to learn themselves
- Approaches challenges with professionalism and a problem-solving mindset

Schedule
- Five 8-hour shifts per week
- One to two Saturdays per month
